State Representative Jed Davis is providing an update on his bill meant to help foster parents that recently cleared an Illinois House committee. The bill seeks to increase financial efficiency in the foster parenting process.
It is deadline week for legislators and Davis talked about some of the bills he’s trying to get through for his 75th district include legislation to prevent local zoning authority from standing in the way of home-based business start-ups and legislation to protect policy owners during the window of time between expiration of a short term insurance policy and their year-end policy renewal ability.
Davis also says he's working on a bill to increase pricing transparency at hospitals.
Davis says he plans to bring national resources and expert witnesses to add support and needed attention to the work he's doing to advance the legislation to the Illinois Senate.
