State Senator Sue Rezin says a federal court ruling earlier this week that tossed the first draft of a new state legislative maps, drawn by Democrats and signed into law by Governor J.B. Pritzker, is a win.
Rezin thinks that the maps were drawn to help keep to democrats in power.
The court will give several groups suing over the maps a chance to propose revisions to the Democrat's second draft of the maps that were updated with Census data.
Rezin says the whole remapping process has lacked transparency.
The three judge panel is set to take up the case again next month.
