Three people were injured in a two-vehicle crash just south of Lake Holiday Saturday afternoon.

The LaSalle County Sheriff's Office says a vehicle driven by 36-year-old Matthew W. Wright, of Somonauk, was heading north on E. 2750th Road when a vehicle driven by a seventeen-year-old girl from Somonauk attempted to turn left onto E. 2750th from N. 4650 Road. Wright hit the seventeen-year-old's vehicle. Wright and a passenger, 31-year-old Nicole Lorenzen of Somonauk, were thrown from the vehicle.

Wright was taken to a hospital in Mendota. The seventeen-year-old and Lorenzen were taken to Valley West Hospital in Sandwich. The seventeen-year-old is charged with failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and failure to yield at an intersection. She was released with her notice to appear in court.

Correction: WSPY news has confirmed with the LaSalle County Sheriff's Office that the press release sent on Sunday about crash incorrectly said that it happened Sunday afternoon. The crash actually happened Saturday. Additionally, the press release referenced a St. Francis Hospital in Mendota, when it should have been St. Paul's Hospital.
