Police were unable to find the driver and a passenger from one of three vehicles involved in a crash at Route 23 and Perry Road Saturday morning. Police say the two fled on foot following the crash south of DeKalb.

Police say the driver who fled was heading east on Perry Road and disobeyed the stop sign at Route 23 hitting a northbound vehicle driven by 37-year-old Brandon R. Halmagyi, of Yorkville. A third vehicle stopped at the westbound stop sign on Perry, driven 55-year-old Jerry K. Koogler of Hinckley, was hit by the other two vehicles during the crash.

Halmagyi was taken to Kishwaukee Hospital in DeKalb with serious, but non-life-threatening, injuries according to police. Koogler wasn't hurt.
