The Aurora Police Department says a vehicle that was stolen from a Wendy's parking lot on Saturday has been found. A police spokesman says the investigation is still ongoing. Police haven't said if any suspects have been identified.

On Saturday, At least two assailants are said to have pulled a woman from her car in the in the Wendy's parking lot on Orchard Road in Aurora, shot her, and stole her vehicle. The vehicle that the alleged carjackers arrived in was said to be stolen from an earlier carjacking in DeKalb County.

The DeKalb County Sheriff's Office says the vehicle used in the Aurora carjacking was stolen after the driver stopped to assist at a two vehicle crash in rural Maple Park. The suspects stole the car at gunpoint, but the victim wasn't harmed.

A third carjacking happened in Naperville on Sunday where the victim was again robbed at gunpoint, but wasn't hurt. Police have not said whether the Sunday carjacking is connected to the other two carjackings from Saturday.

The woman who was shot in Aurora is expected to live, but has serious injuries. A family member has started a GoFundMe fundraiser to raise money for the victim's medical expenses. The victim's name is Kim Weibring.
