The many volunteers that come out each day to help at the Sandwich Fair are a big part of making the event one of the biggest and oldest fairs in Illinois. Among their ranks is Bob Keenan, who on Wednesday could be found by the train crossing, found near the Horticulture Building.
Keenan has been volunteering at the fair for over 30 years. He had trouble picking out just one favorite thing about the fair.
Keenan's advise to anyone that hasn't been to the fair is to come out because you'll be amazed. One family who traveled from Mississippi to visit the fair seemed to agree.
The fair continues through this Sunday.
