A Morris woman has been arrested twice this month. Morris Police Deputy Chief Chad Skelton said Elizabeth Johnson was arrested on a Will County warrant on the charge of the unlawful possession of a controlled substance. She was arrested on George Street in Morris around 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday, September 22nd.
Will County court records show the 39-year-old Johnson allegedly possessed a controlled substance somewhere in the Will County area on August 21st. Her bond on the Will County warrant was set at $100,000.
She remains in the Grundy County Jail. Skelton also said Johnson was arrested by a Will County agency for possessing a vehicle that was stolen from Morris on September 10th.
She was charged with criminal trespass to vehicles, a class A misdemeanor out of Will County. Johnson was placed on two years of probation on a forgery case out of Will County in March of this year.
Johnson was also arrested for possessing a controlled substance out of Grundy County in 2016, but that case was dropped. She also was sentenced to one year of conditional discharge for violating an order of protection out of Grundy County in 2020.
