Adan  “Jesse” Arriaga, 64, of Yorkville, Illinois passed away Monday, April 19, 2021 at his daughter’s home in Sandwich, IL, after a courageous battle with brain cancer surrounded by his loving family.  He was born May 2, 1956 in Vanegas SLP, Mexico the son of Jose Guadalupe and Herminia (Mendoza) Arriaga.  He married Ana Castillo on April 2, 1974 in Vanegas SLP, Mexico.  Jesse devoted his time to his passion; he owned and operated The Country Kitchen in Somonauk for 14 years.  He enjoyed music, playing the accordion, guitar, and saxophone.  His greatest love was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife Ana; one daughter, Herminia (Daniel) Morsch of Sandwich, IL; four sons, Adan (Jackie) Arriaga of Oswego, IL, Abraham (Elia) Arriaga of Yorkville, IL, Jose Arriaga of Oswego, IL and Mariano Arriaga of Yorkville, IL; 10 grandchildren, Ethan, Sebastian, Isabella, Abraham, Pumba (Victoriana), Ellie, Gavin, Austin, Ivan and Nathan; his mother, Herminia Mendoza Arriaga of Vanegas SLP, Mexico; four sisters, Margaritia (Felipe) Torres of Mexico, Virginia (Artemio) Galvan of Laredo, TX, Sara (Margarito Luis) Arriaga of Dallas, TX and Maria (Alfredo) Perez of Dallas, TX; three brothers, Juan (Sylvia) Arriaga of Dallas, TX, Jose (Guadalupe) Arriaga of Laredo, TX and Samuel (Beatrice) Arriaga of Batavia, IL, Marisa (Raul) Fernandez of Aurora, IL, Alma Avalos of Yorkville, IL several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jose Guadalupe Arriaga; his mother-in-law, Teresa Solis; and his brother-in-law, Juan Avalos.

Funeral Service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Friday, April 23, 2021 at Turner-Eighner Funeral Home in Somonauk, IL. with Deacon Doug Wells officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m.  to 7:00 p.m., Friday, April 23, 2021 at the funeral home in Somonauk, IL.
