Barbara J. (Modaff) Disbennett, 76, of Earlville, IL passed away Friday, September 10, 2021 at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago, IL. She was born May 23, 1945 in Aurora, IL the daughter of Ralph and Geraldine (Shaffar) Modaff. She married Jerry Disbennett on June 23, 1984 in Houston, TX. She enjoyed coffee clutching with her sisters, dancing, and music. Most of all her greatest love was spending time with her family and pets.

She is survived by her husband Jerry Disbennett of Earlville, IL, her daughter Janel (Perdue) Patterson of Earlville, IL, three sons; Shayne (Cindy) Perdue of Nashville, TN, Benjamin (Kim) Tunk of Earlville, IL, and David (Crystal ) Disbennett of Ottawa, IL; four grandchildren, Nathan Perez, Gerrica Perdue, Christian (Marissa) Dantos, and Jonathan (Jessica) Perdue; three sisters, Mary Lou Paladeau, Marcia Sedlacek, and Sheila Henschel, one brother Gerald Modaff; six great-grandchildren; Noah, Jaxon, Mathias, Grant, Jamisyn and Arthur, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Geraldine Modaff, one sister Patricia Petru, and two brothers Ronald and David Modaff.

Funeral Mass will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 in St. Theresa Catholic Church 221 W. Union St. Earlville, IL, with Father Jeff Windy officiating.  Burial will follow in St. Theresa Catholic Cemetery in Earlville.  Visitation will be Wednesday, September 15, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. at St. Theresa Catholic Church. In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to The Elephant Sanctuary in Tennessee, PO Box 393 Hohenwald, TN. 38462.
