Edward G. Fasel (formerly of Sandwich, IL), age 64, went home to be with the Lord Thursday, August 12, 2021, in Little Elm, TX. He was born on January 25, 1957 in Evergreen Park, IL; son of Edward L. and Bernice B. (Dunai) Fasel (deceased). He was a loving husband of 36 years to Judy A. (Maynard) and father to Jason (Jennifer) Fasel, Justin Fasel, Tara (Karl) Dean, and Jennifer Streff. He had three grandchildren: Kiley, Noah and Alyssa, a brother, Orland (Joyce) and three sisters: Linda (Phil) Fagan, Cheryl (the late Ed) Crowley and Joyce (Mark) Fauth. He was also a loving uncle to many nieces and nephews.

Ed worked in the family business for many years at Fasel Bros. Garden Center in Chicago, IL and E.L. Fasel and Sons Nursery in Big Rock, IL. Ed was often consulted for his knowledge of horticulture. In Eds’ retirement, he enjoyed his vegetable and fruit stand in Sandwich and Yogi where he spent a lot of time with family and friends camping. He moved to Texas in 2019 which was a dream of his. One of his favorite past times was hanging out in the garage while grilling for anyone and everyone while organizing, cleaning and rearranging everything. He lived his life to the fullest and treasured his family and friends.

Interment for the family will be officiated by Pastor Lesley Radius, Ed’s 1st cousin, on October 1, 2021, 12 PM at Bethania Cemetery, Justice, Illinois. Ed’s last occasion invitation was for family and friends to come to A Celebration of Ed's life on October 2, 2021, from 2 – 6 PM at the Moose Lodge,1002 E Church St, Sandwich, IL 60548
