Pam Wyman passed away on June 14, 2022, at Kishwaukee Hospital in DeKalb, IL.

Pam was born on January 25, 1951 in Highland Park, IL, the daughter of Raymond and Laline (Morse) Schinler. She graduated from Mundelein High School in 1969. Pam went on to study elementary education at Western Illinois University. She graduated in 1973.

On June 1, 1974, Pam married James (Jim) Wyman in Crystal Lake.

Her first teaching job was at Diamond Lake School in Mundelein, where she had attended junior high. Pam went on to teach at Orion Middle School in Orion, Illinois (1974-75) and at Immaculate Conception School in Monmouth, Illinois (1975-76). In 1978, Pam began a 39-year career teaching at Serena Grade School in Serena, Illinois. She taught fourth grade in Serena from 1978 until 2007, and she returned as a reading aide in 2010, teaching ten more years.

Pam was preceded in death by her husband, Jim, on January 9, 2022. She is survived by her daughter, Beth (Mike) Butler and two granddaughters, Brynn and Annie Butler, all of Sandwich. She is also survived by a sister, Marcia Dobslaf, of Deerfield, IL; two brothers, Ray Schinler of Hesperia, MI and Scott Schinler of Mukwonago, WI; in-laws, Bob and Pam Wyman of Crystal Lake, IL, and many loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Barb; her brother-in-law, Tim Dobslaf; and her niece, Ashlee Smith.

Pam was a 20-year survivor of breast cancer and fought through her illness with grace, never backing down from the fight. She loved the Chicago Cubs, Jumbles, playing golf, and spending time with friends and family. We take comfort knowing that she and Jim are together again in Heaven.

A Celebration of Life for Jim and Pam will be held at a later date. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Beverage Family Funeral Home in Sandwich.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lynn Sage Breast Cancer Foundation.
