Lonnie Lee Batchelder, age 69, of Oswego, IL entered eternal life on Tuesday, May 4, 2021 after a courageous battle with cancer.  He was born on July 31, 1951 in Davenport, IA and was the son of Gordon and Miriam (Lux) Batchelder. Lonnie was a loving husband, father, grandfather (papa), and great-grandfather who will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

Lonnie’s early years were spent on the family farm in Bement, Illinois.  Lonnie found his true love of work in tree work, especially working storm damage across the country.  He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and foraging for mushrooms. Saying Lonnie was social is an understatement; he could make conversation with anyone anywhere and was generous with his time and spirit. Most of all, Lonnie loved being with his family.

He is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Patricia (Zeeko) Batchelder; children, Leah Rodriguez, Matthew (Aurora) Incaudo, and Ryan Incaudo; grandchildren, Isabella and Luciano Rodriguez, and Gino, Gabriella and Annasophia Incaudo; great-granddaughter, Sophia Rodriguez; pal/mother-in-law, Jean Sanchez; sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary Beth (Kurt) McGee and Tracy (Bryan) Ruff; nephew, Dan (Bobbie) Cruz; special birth sibling, Sharon (Danny) Shamhart, and loyal dog, Simba.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gordon and Miriam Batchelder; sister, Sue Ellen Giambrone; and grandson, Armando Rodriguez Jr.

Visitation will be held on Monday, May 10, 2021 at the Nelson Funeral Home, 1617 N. Bridge St., Yorkville, IL from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM.  A Memorial Service will immediately follow. Interment will be private.
