Patrick A. Higgins, age 65 of Sandwich, IL passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, February 17, 2021 at Northwestern Medicine Valley West Hospital in Sandwich, IL. He was born on September 26, 1955 in St. Charles, IL the son of George R. and Lorraine (Reynolds) Higgins.

Patrick was united in marriage on July 12, 1975 to Jacqueline Lange, and they spent the next 45 years happily together. Mr. Higgins attended the Zion Lutheran Church in Naperville, IL. He was employed for many years in the construction industry and then did ground maintenance for the Kendall County Forest Preserve, until his recent retirement. Patrick will be remembered as an avid sports fan.

He is survived by his wife, Jackie Higgins of Sandwich, IL; his children, Kelly (Jeremy) Strack of Edwards Air Force Base, CA and Ryan (Roberta) Higgins of Plainfield, IL; his two grandchildren, Bailey and Reese Higgins; his siblings, John (Christine) Higgins of FL, Karen Higgins of OR, Lauri (Joseph) Eversole, of Wheaton, IL; also several nieces and nephews and his extended Nolan family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George Higgins and Lorraine Higgins-Bell; and his brother, Michael Higgins.

A Funeral Service will be held at 7:00 PM on Monday, February 22, 2021 at the Nelson Funeral Home, 1617 North Bridge Street, Yorkville, IL with Pastor Stevan Saunders, officiating. Interment will be private.

Friends may visit from 4:00 PM until the Hour of Service on Monday, February 22, 2021 at the Funeral Home in Yorkville, IL.
