Phyllis C. Price, age 102, of DeKalb, IL passed away at Pine Acres Nursing Home in DeKalb, IL on August 28,2022. She was born on July 23, 1920 the daughter of Wallace and Carolyn (Ferris) Cochran. 
 
Phyllis was united in marriage to Mr. James E. Price on December 18, 1947 and they spent the next 32 years happily together until his passing in 1980. She was employed for many years by Caterpillar in Aurora, IL as a secretary to the President and a secretary in the Sandwich School District until her retirement. Phyllis was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt who will be deeply missed by her family and many friends. 
 
Phyllis is survived by her children, Kenneth (Dorothy) Price of Chicago, IL and Susan (Douglas) Johnson of Sycamore, IL; she is the grandmother of four including, Cory (Kelly Palmatier) Johnson of Somonauk, IL, Daniel (Sage) Johnson of McKinney, TX, Megan (Greg) Overstreet of Oswego, IL, and Karen Loerich of Maryland; her great grand-children, Daniel, Nathan and Levi Overstreet of Oswego, IL and Will, Denise and Dennis Jr. Loerich of Maryland; one nephew, Mark Larson of Camp Verde, AZ; and one niece, Lisa Larson of Arizona. 
 
She was preceded in death by her parents Wallace and Carolyn Cochran; her husband, James Price; her sister, Helen Larson; and her nephew, Craig Larson. 
 
A Funeral Service for Phyllis will be held at 12:00 PM on Thursday, September 1, 2022 at the Nelson Funeral Home, 1275 S. County Line Road, Sandwich, IL. Interment will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery in Sandwich, IL. Friends may visit from 10:00 AM until the hour of Service on Thursday, September 1, 2022 at the Nelson Funeral Home in Sandwich, IL.
