The Indian Creek Timberwolves boys basketball team some how was able to play 21 games in this crazy pandemic season. Their final record was 17-4 after their victory over Lena-Winslow on Saturday night 62-51.
Indian Creek trailed early in the game but was able to put on a nice run late in the first quarter to lead 22-20 going into the second quarter. Lena-Winslow would play well in the second and the game was tied at 30-30 at the half. The Timberwolves played some great defense in the third quarter holding the visitors to 8 points in the frame.
The two teams played virtually even in the fourth quarter and the Timberwolves would send their seniors off on a solid note. Michael Lampson would lead the way for the seniors with a game high 20 points. Drew Gaston added 19, Cam Russell 14 and Brennen McNally scored 9 points and played great overall. The other senior starter was Davis Stryker who always gives everything he has at both ends of the court.
Those 5 seniors as well as the others on the 2021 squad Erik Jernigan, Jordan Wortman, Logan Suddeth and Gage Oleson will have some great memories of this season as well as the 2019-20 season that saw the Timberwolves go 35-1. What an outstanding group of young men who gave this broadcaster a lot of great thrills and memories as well. Thank you guys!!!
