The Kaneland boys golf team shot three great rounds lately under 150 as they beat Plano 149-214, Ottawa 149-168 and Morris 144-171. The round of 144 against Morris at “The Creek” in Morris set a new school record for boys golf in a 9 hole match.
In the win over Plano Josh Pehl continued his outstanding play with a 2-under par round of 33 to lead the way. Teammates Ryan Milton and Cody Ganzon both fired a 38 to back the outstanding round by Josh Pehl. Gavin Woods added a 40 to the Kaneland scorecard on the day.
Josh Pehl and Ganzon each fired a 35 on their home course at Hughes Creek GC to lead the Knights in the win over Ottawa. Milton fired a solid 39 and Hagan Rank added a 40 for Kaneland as well. Lucas Pehl had a 43, Andy McEvoy had a 47, Jake Nied a 49 and Ryan Mueller shot a 50 to round out the days work for the Knights
In their record setting round against Morris Josh Pehl and Rank each shot an even-par 35 to lead the way. Ganzon and Lucas Pehl each fired a 37 to round out their official scoring on the day. Others like Woods with a 38 and Patrick Gampfer’s 39 helped complete as Coach Mark Meyer said a “fantastic round.”
