Plano 250x250

The Plano Boys Basketball team just like everyone else outside of Chicago are heading into their final week of the season.  Plano has won 3 of their last 4 games and are playing pretty well Head Coach Kyle Kee said on the Saturday Morning Sports Show.

Plano defeated the Kaneland Knights on the last Friday of March 63-60 as Kameron Williams hit a three point shot right before the buzzer to secure the win.  Mason Accidentale again led the Reapers in scoring with 23.  He was helped by Tristan Canfield hit for 12 more points and Williams with his game winner ended up with 8 points.  David Kolev led Kaneland in scoring with 11 points and Jamari Meeks added 10.

The Reapers then hosted their Route 34 I-8 rival Sandwich and used a big second quarter outscoring the Indians 20-7 to help them secure a 68-51 win.  Accidentale again led the way with 19 points but he had plenty of help as Anthony Santoria added 14 and Canfield added 12.  Cade Miller led Sandwich with 19 points.  Jacob Heilemeier added 16 and Mariol Puou added 10.

Plano then ran into a one man buzz saw as Ottawa's Anthony Cooper singed the nets for 37 points as Ottawa won going away 71-40.  The Pirates from Ottawa have done that to a lot of teams this season.  Josh Padilla was the only Reaper to reach double figures in scoring with 12.  Canfield added 9 and Accidentale chipped in with 8.

Against Morris Accidentale was on fire as he scorched the nets for 30 big points and Plano won 69-53 at home.  Canfield added 11 points and Josh Padilla was able to score 9 points as well.  Plano trailed at the half 31-28 but outscored Morris 22 to 9 in the third quarter to come away with a 69-53 win.
