The Plano Reapers and the Morris Redskins had battle on the basketball court this week in a game that went back and forth a bit. Morris was able to come from behind in the second half to secure a 68-63 win.
Plano trailed by the score of 9-7 after a low scoring 1st quarter with both teams struggling on offense. Both teams warmed up in the 2nd quarter with Plano outscoring Morris 19-16 as the Reapers took a 26-25 lead at the half.
The 3rd quarter was huge for Morris as they outscored Plano 19-8 to take a 44-34 lead going to the 4th quarter. Plano would outscore the Redskins in the 4th 29-24 but Morris hit some key free throws down the stretch to come away with the win.
Tristan Canfield led Plano in scoring with 21 points. Anthony Santoria came off the Reapers bench to score 15 points on 5 three pointers and Mason Accidentale also had 15 points. Zach came off the Morris bench to lead the Redskins with 21 and Patrick McPherson added 20 points as well.
Morris is 1-1, 1-0 and Plano falls to 2-4, 1-3.
