Plano 250x250

The Plano Reapers won the toss to start their season opener but deferred until the 2nd half to go on defense first.  After a Plano penalty gave the Aurora Central Chargers a first down, but after that it was pretty much all Reapers on the night.

Plano scored on a short push pass from Carson Gill to Waleed Johnson on a play that covered 45 yards at the 8:16 mark of the first quarter.  A few minutes later Ray Jones Jr would rumble in from 38 yards out and Plano would lead 13-0 with 5:46 left in the first quarter.

It would eventually be 20-0 after 1 quarter as Plano scored again with just 9 seconds left in the opening period.  Johnson would have a big run of 59 yards and later a punt return of 57 yards for big scores.  Jones would also pick up an errant snap and outrun everyone for 78 yards and another big play.  Plano would win going away 44-0 to open the season with a big home win.

Plano had 410 yards of total offense and held Aurora Central to just 101 on the night.  Plano had 252 rushing yards with Jones netting 131 yards, the Reapers also had 158 yards in the air for a very balanced attack.  Ty Hopp rushed for 57 yards for the Chargers on the night.
