Several businesses in the area were burglarized early Tuesday morning. Investigators say three men entered the Verizon Wireless store on Division Street in Coal City around 1:30.
Nearly twenty minutes later, the Grundy County Sheriff’s Department said the three men took the cash register and several bottles of liquor from Diamond Liquors in Diamond. About ten minutes later, a large number of pistols were stolen from Minooka Ace Hardware Store on Ridge Road.
Three other businesses in Will County were broken into nearly an hour later. Police say the two suspects are black men who were wearing ski masks and black hooded sweatshirts and the third perpetrator was a black woman with similar clothing.
The police departments are looking to see if the incidents are connected.
